It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a side that has achieved everything.

That it took until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowlers that have represented Australia over five decades.

It's challenging for their hitters to maintain a record if not provided the chance.

Finally, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy getting a chance to deliver her newest gem.

Originally famous as the young family member of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after her nation couldn't capture either of the T20 or ODI World Cups conducted earlier and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup arrived three months after her bow and seven global championships have come from 10 attempts across formats.

The tough gloveman was also there in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India temporarily stopped the successful run.

That loss "pushed us to rethink our standards," Healy stated recently.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the title decider and was declared player of the series. She guaranteed her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this latest epic knock exceeded that prior achievement is debatable.

Many contend the case for final game tension. Others can counter with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this ton was much more difficult to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she led the batting statistics, but this performance was preceded by six games in India over the past few weeks in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've observed me in the nets, it was a disappointing period because it appeared I lacked timing completely," said Healy.

"But once you enter the playing area, your competitive instincts take over and you just lock into the match."

Healy's competitiveness has always been her key asset - and a priceless quality in replacing famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, fallen to the emerging pace bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and from there Healy was in motion.

"An opportunity to play and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment in that aspect, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

Once she was removed Australia needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the belief to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if we do, we believe we can achieve it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this tournament should hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this triumph coming after victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she afterwards commented she regretted not playing through the pain.

However although she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have delayed plans to retire, this championship is anticipated as her final tournament as skipper in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as skipper.

Triumph in India would lead her to the peak of her final mountain.
